BLACK
Every Saturday in The Record Room
Saturday nights in the Record Room are thudding with the sounds of the underground while an eclectic mix of party-goers gather downstairs for Too Much Love. The music upstairs - a fervent big brother to the sounds below - is hosted by techno heads Particle People, techno/house dynamos Loud + Clear, and funky house doctors HotDish. These three crews work collectively to institute a dance-culture favorite in Minneapolis - fittingly dubbed BLACK (if you've been in the Record Room, you know why).
JUSTIN KENT
Remix Magazine says he’s “blasting the market into 2099″ and the Discovery Channel calls him “the future of dance music.” International performer, inventor, and entrepreneur, Justin Kent is somewhere between starving artist and media mogul. Born in Orlando, FL, Justin Kent was brought up on a hyperactive diet of MTV and the Internet. Relocated to Boston for a whirlwind ride through the dot-com boom, he graduated from MIT then spent an action-packed stint hacking code at the original Napster. As a DJ pushing the limits of his craft, he started to bring abstract video into his sets.
AARON BLISS
Originally from New Orleans, Aaron Hart aka Aaron Bliss has been actively promoting, DJing and performing live PA’s since his move to the Midwest in 1995. His move to the Midwest came after a brief but intense 2 plus-year induction period to the underground techno sound via the New York City Rave Scene from 93-95, which landed Aaron smack dab in the middle of a dance music epoch that changed his life forever.
EJ NATE
Nathan Janos is a visual innovator who helped develop the EJ MIDI Turntable for scratching and mixing video. With a degree in computer science from MIT he has always had his hands everything electronic and experimental. Nathan has been pushing pixels and arranging analog video live for over five years on screens in cities ranging from Boston and New York to Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He has worked with a multitude of musicians in many settings including club DJs, rock bands, experimental electronic musicians and live performance artists in galleries.
NANCY CHENG
Nancy began her life as a DJ in Los Angeles, California where she stirred up the crowds with her own dark and sexy taste for underground house music. After a few years playing in and around southern California, opening for acts such as Miss Kittin and Electric Indigo, Nancy decided it was time to expand her horizons. She then relocated to Taipei, Taiwan before returning to the US & settling in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

MACH FOX
Mach FoX is the quintessential Electro-Rocker, a glam punk who digs the roots, a true believer in the machine backbeat. A man who lives the music as if it means something, and gives himself over to it in a near fatal rock ritual. An Electropunk who dresses in his habit defiantly, disgustedly- like a close-fitting tattered mesh shirt, Mach and machines have become as inseperable as Mach and his old hat and goggles. Time and again, he hauls himself through the fire to prove that he is no myth- but a keeper of the flame.
