ÜBERSCENESTER
Late 90's/early 00's Minneapolis indie pop rock pests ÜberScenester returns. It should be a night you'll wish you remembered!
ÜBERSCENESTER
UberScenester are an American alternative rock band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota that were formed in 1998. The band features guitarist and vocalist Matt "Young" Caflisch, drummer Michael "Suade" Newell, bassist Davin "O" Odegaard and guitarist Al "Grande" Sneve. The band grew out of an original rock trio, "J.U.L.P", which featured Newell and Caflisch, when their original bassist Kevin Lian-Anderson decided to take a "break from music." The band's debut album, Shooting Stars (1999), was released on El Basso! records.
KRUDDLER
Kruddler is a three-piece rock band hailing from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. They have emerged from the local club scene with a fiery brand of music comprising energetic vocals, big crunchy guitars, and a solid rhythm section. The songs are clever and tuneful, and the band is tight. Though Kruddler definitely has its own sound, Gallivan says it never involved any kind of planning. "I don't think we ever thought about it," he says. "I don't try to write songs that sound like something else... I don't want to preach to anybody."
MEAT RAFFLE ROAD
Well, it’s about damn time! Just when you’d given up all hope for the condition of the ol’ honky-tonk music, Meat Raffle Road delivers up their debut record Eaten By Crows, twelve songs whose roots are deep and long enough to strangle the pompous, bloated imposter that is contemporary Nashville. Twelve songs whose big, dusty boots are itchin’ to kick the stinking, swollen corpse of modern commercial country into the gaping grave that this Midwestern outlaw duo has freshly dug. Mind you, these guys aren’t your run-of-the-barn shitkickers, no sirree! Don’t believe it?
