ST PATRICK’S DAY featuring HOOKERS $ BLOW and E.L.nO.
HOOKERS $ BLOW
Adam Levy was abducted in the early morning hours on June 23, 1998. After purchasing a post-gig egg salad deli roll from the S.A. on Lyndale & 22nd Ave, hominid beings of an unknown origin threw him into the back of a ’76 El Camino, and drove him to the Menards on 394, where their ship was hidden.
Once aboard the craft, Adam was stripped naked and forced to explain the origins of American popular song to their Cultural Minister, Vortek Oon Guabbious. XXVII. Afterwards, Adam was made to sing the duet “Up Where We Belong” with Vortek, while the whole crew watched. As a result of this traumatic experience, Adam formed the band ‘Hookers & Blow’ as a means of reclaiming the rich legacy of America popular song, a legacy that had become tainted in his mind; soiled by an unwelcome probe administered by soulless, hairless, tone deaf beings.
While Hookers & Blow started as a pitiful cry for help, the weekly therapy session at Gluek’s gradually gained momentum, eventually evolving into the full-fledged howl of resistance, strength, and self-wellness management that resonates today.

E.L.nO.
Originally formed to compete in the annual Cover Song Contest at famed Minneapolis rock club First Avenue in Jan. of 2005, The Electric Light (no) Orchestra has taken a life of its own due to the world's unquenchable thirst for hearing such gems as "Living Thing" and "Mr. Blue Sky" in a live rock setting. Members of Accident Clearinghouse, Manplanet, Detroit, and Billy Johnson's Roadshow unite beneath six giant afro wigs and six pairs of cheap sunglasses as six Jeff Lynnes and spread the good vibes "All Over The World!" E.L.nO. has performed their show along side a screening of the legendary film Xanadu, opened up for semi-legendary prog. super-group Asia, and is booked for Halloween from now until one of them dies (also available for weddings, bar mitsvahs, and funerals). The possibilities are endless, so "Hold On Tight" and enjoy the ride!
MN POLICE PIPE BAND
The Minnesota Police Pipe Band (MPPB) is a nationally recognized, top quality competition and performance pipe and drum corps.
RANK STRANGERS
Telling the story of Rank Strangers is not unlike what I imagine a pre-World War II Trans-Atlantic flight in bad weather must have been: long, slow moving with turbulence and vomiting. The band was born in the spring of 1990 in East Lansing, Michigan. The founding members were Mike Wisti (vocals/guitar), Doug Durbin (drums), Leif Wisti (bass), and Charlie Wallin (guitar). We moved to Minneapolis in August 1990. We played our first show in the Twin Cities at the Uptown Bar on a New Band Night in November 1990.
