BLACK
Every Saturday in The Record Room
Saturday nights in the Record Room are thudding with the sounds of the underground while an eclectic mix of party-goers gather downstairs for Too Much Love. The music upstairs - a fervent big brother to the sounds below - is hosted by techno heads Particle People, techno/house dynamos Loud + Clear, and funky house doctors HotDish. These three crews work collectively to institute a dance-culture favorite in Minneapolis - fittingly dubbed BLACK (if you've been in the Record Room, you know why).
TIMEFOG
SYSTEM is an event series framed around classic Midwest warehouse style parties from the early to late 90s. Techno to house played by the best performers on a giant sound system in a dark atmosphere with serious intensity. SYSTEM started in January of 2010 in the Record Room of the famous Minneapolis night club First Avenue.

DUSTIN ZAHN
After being influenced by mix-tapes of artists such as Richie Hawtin, Dustin began writing music purely for fun. Shortly after, Dustin met future-partner Ian Lehman, who was established in the mid-west rave scene. Ian explained to him that music similar to his was played at parties called raves. Ian invited him to one of his shows and Dustin took his offer to see what he was talking about. After being exposed to just one party, Dustin knew this was his future. Dustin started doing a Live PA at various local parties and quickly became a favorite.
MIKE GERVAIS
Hailing from the icy tundra of Minneapolis, Timefog label boss Mike Gervais has been impacting the electronic music community since the 90's. In those early years he absorbed a splattering of warehouse parties, walls of bass, The Drop Bass network and their "Furthur" parties, a slew of early Richie Hawtin performances, and the beginnings of a tightly knit community in Mpls.
DAVE AVID
As co-founder and artistic director of Plan B Recordings, Dave has a reputation for being a passionate fan of electronic music from both sides of the decks. Having the uncanny ability to constantly reinvent himself before his fans, he has been able to form his dark, hard hitting style into a passion driven, face melting experience. Dave is no stranger in creating a dynamic sound using advanced equipment, and having been a dj since 2001, he is well versed in the world of turntables and digital decks. His attention to detail has earned him the respect of his peers and audiophiles alike.
