Every Saturday in The Record Room
Saturday nights in the Record Room are thudding with the sounds of the underground while an eclectic mix of party-goers gather downstairs for Too Much Love. The music upstairs - a fervent big brother to the sounds below - is hosted by techno heads Particle People, techno/house dynamos Loud + Clear, and funky house doctors HotDish. These three crews work collectively to institute a dance-culture favorite in Minneapolis - fittingly dubbed BLACK (if you've been in the Record Room, you know why).
PAUL JOHNSON (Chicago, IL)
Born and raised in Chicago the birthplace of House Music, Paul Johnson became a D.J. in 1984 when he was 13 years old and He was a Radio D.J. all through high school and he Released his first record in 1990 titled Overload on Dance Mania records which he Produced many of the now famous D.J. producers that we all know and love. By doing this he immediately gained recognition in the industry as the man to go to. Paul has now released over 200 E.P's himself and a vast amount of music for some of the most consistently underground dance labels before hooking up with Peacefrog.
NICK GUNZ
A passion for house music lead Nick to create Black Saturday Nights at First Avenue. And although he has moved onto other projects, his connection with the dance floor keeps him coming back for more.
