Playing The Classic Album And All The Hits With A Live Band!

Grammy Award Winning seminal hip hop vocal group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will kick off the second leg of their hit club tour in Boise, ID on September 22, at the Knitting Factory. The E. 1999 Eternal Tour is the follow up to the 36 date run which concluded in June. The new tour which will be backed by a live band will feature Bone Thugs playing all their hits with a special emphasis on their hit 1999 sophomore CD, E. 1999 Eternal which included the hip hop classics “1st Of Tha Month” and “Tha Crossroads.”  The new tour will feature the line up of Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-n-Bone will hit a total of 35 cities through October 30, 2010.

For this leg of the tour the band decided to focus musically on their 1995 hit CD E. 1999 Eternal which was a tribute to late rap superstar Eazy-E and was named after Eazy’s  CD Eternal E. Eazy-E was instrumental in Bone Thugs initial success and they were signed to his Ruthless Records label. The hit tracks from that CD, 1st of Tha Month peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart while the follow-up Tha Crossroads was #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, The Billboard Rap Track Chart.  The group scored  a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by A Duo Or Group, along with American Music Awards in 1997 and 1998.

Since their inception in 1993 Bone Thugs-In-Harmony have sold over 30 million records over the 11 studio albums and 5 Greatest Hits packages and compilations making them one of the most successful and prolific hip hop groups of all times. Known mostly for their unique flow and lyricism, Bone's style and technique can be described as melodic, rapid-fire and aggressive. Their flow is often interwoven at a high-speed, melodic pace or slow, harmonic pace. Their subject matter includes other topics such as urban socio-political issues, and religion. They have been out spoken and major advocates of the legalization of marijuana in California and beyond. In addition to their joint projects each member has released at least one solo CD.

When Bone Thugs-N-Harmony first exploded on the rap scene in 1994 with their fast rhymes, harmonious choruses, ominous G-funk, and gangsta attitude, no one knew whether the uncanny Cleveland group were for real or if they were a novelty success. After all, at this point in time, few rap groups outside of New York or California had been able to prove themselves on a commercial level. And Bone Thugs-N-Harmony leap-frogged cult success, instantly rising to the top of the charts with their summer anthem "Thuggish Ruggish Bone." By the time their first full-length album, E 1999 Eternal, dropped a year later, it not only debuted at number one but also proved to be one of the decades most important and enduring albums. While other rap groups struggled to break away from the cliches first forged by NWA, Public Enemy, Boogie Down Productions, 2 Live Crew, and LL Cool J in the late '80s, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were one of the few groups able to carve out their own stylistic niche, an inimitable myriad of urban sounds with a strong ghetto attitude.
