An Albatross on Myspace

The eccentric noise rock outfit An Albatross features Edward B. Gieda III (vocals/percussion), Jason Hudak (bass), Kat Paffett (organ/synth), Phillip Reynolds Price (organ), Jake Lisowski (guitar), and Ed Klinger (drums). Hailing from Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre, An Albatross released their debut, Eat Lightning, Shit Thunder, in 2001 on the local When Humans Attack! label. A year later, the New York City indie rock imprint Ace Fu signed the band. The rackety grind punk sounds of We Are the Lazer Viking, which highlighted a more mischievously bold set from An Albatross, arrived in summer 2003. A split 7" with XBXRX, Into the Lazer Eye, followed on Gold Standard Laboratories in 2004. Around this time, Paffett departed and touring drummer Steve Vaiani was added to the group. Blessphemy (Of the Peace Beast Feastgiver and the Bear Warp Kumite) was slated for a June 2006 release.

Special Guests / Opening Acts:

SEAWHORES

Seawhores have been active since 1996 with 15 albums, some on different labels with various locations around the country, some limited run presses on our own Here Than Anywhere label. We've taken an approach with music that has enabled us to work with many different musicians and subsequently, given us the ability to keep interested in the on going progress of keeping things fun. Our contributions list stands tall with around 35 people in which we've had the honor of playing with. Some of those people being very active in there own bands.

GAY WITCH ABORTION

Brutally vengeful art formed in the bowls of the Twin Cities. Gay Witch Abortion’s debut album MAVERICK jams itself into that sort of a classification. Like a unicorn spearing it’s prey, having so little patience it completely shreads the kittens into tiny morsels of sweet bloody pulp candies. The taste of blood has ruined many a creature, there is a simplistic aura surrounding the violence, drawing you in, just close enough to feel the power, but still leaving an unconquered taste in your soul. So you go back and try it again and again.
