No Joke. No More Ticketmaster.

This Friday, April 1st,  First Avenue will be ending our contract with Ticketmaster and beginning an exciting new partnership with Etix. You can buy concert tickets online at www.first-avenue.com or www.etix.com. Or if you're more of a people person, our local ticket outlets will continue to sell First Avenue tickets as well. 

To celebrate the big news let's do a big giveaway. Leave a comment here for your chance to win 5 pairs of tickets to any First Avenue show*. We'll pick the big winner on the big day, Friday, April 1st.

Ticketmaster has been gouging us for years. Thanks for giving us an alternative that will be more affordable, and for continuing to work with local outlets like Electric Fetus.

Everyone hates ticketmaster.  The huge fees, the lack of personal touches...  First ave is a classic club with more history than just about anywhere in the Mpls area.  Ticketmaster doesn't deserve to be a part of that.

Nice going! Probably a good decision, all told. I'm hoping for some big events, coming soon!
