GASTRO NON GRATA: VAGABOND VACATION takes over this Sunday!
Gastro Non Grata, the self-described "local chef-driven, alcohol fueled music machine" is set to dominate all three rooms here at First Ave this Sunday, June 27.
Wondering what it's about? They say "the purpose of Gastro Non Grata is to welcome you to the world of better eating, smarter drinking and a Mickey Rooney/Dirty Garage Rock feel" in an effort to "...call out the Big Guys out there pushing processed food full of preservatives, beer made with adjuncts instead of ingredients and the lowly bastards that are passing off an autotuner as an instrument." Awesome, right?
Beloved local bands like Birthday Suits, Unknown Prophets, and Private Dancer will be taking the Mainroom stage, while Moonstone, Fuck Knights, and Guystorm will be rocking the Entry (among MANY others). Another highlight: School of Rock consists of 12 to 18 year olds covering rock songs. Sweeeeet.
The bash will feature fabulous local food from Sea Change, Spoonriver, Coastal Seafood, and the incredible Cake Eater Bakery.
Here's the rundown:
"Upon arrival you will be handed 3 red tickets and 3 blue tickets to start your journey down the path of gluttonous delight. Red tickets are good for beer samples, Blue for food samples. Food ticket stations will be placed throughout the venue and priced at a measly $4 each, so come hungry with cash in hand and prepare to feast."
This will be an unmissable affair.
